The Hungry Hippo

Our trusty sidekick, the Hungry Hippo, got his name when he ate our parking pass that fell into an inexplicable gap between the front dash and windshield. Although the Hippo was an important part of our trip, he didn’t make it into the book, so here he is in all his glory.

The Hungry Hippo waits for us in front of a glacier tongue.

Fun Fact

Yesterday, Iceland's government convened for the first time after the summer break.

At midnight the next day, the government has fallen.
